The Muffinz

The Muffinz have released their new single “Where You Are”.

“Where You Are” was written by The Muffinz, produced by Simphiwe Kulla and Geoffrey Tazenda Chitima. The single was mastered by Chris Gehringer at Sterling Sound/New York (Rihanna, Drake, Sean Paul, Angelique Kidjo, Kesha).

“The song speaks about love and decision making. Although we don’t choose who we love, we can choose who we spend more time with or even an eternity with…And the song speaks on the phenomena of “feeling someone”, it’s beyond hearing them, touching them, kissing them, but rather a deeper connection that maintains fidelity transcending space and time to reach wherever the lover may be” – The Muffinz.

Diamond Thug

Diamond Thug release new single ‘Choo Choo’.

Leading up to Diamond Thug’s release of their debut LP in April 2018, ‘Choo Choo’ presents a dark electronic tone comparing a lover’s quarrel to a medieval battle. The name ‘Choo Choo’ is a playful twist derived from the chorus’ harrowing lyrics: “Chewed you up, you’re tired.” perhaps offering a glimpse into the dichotomy of minds in a toxic relationship. As the song unfolds, a labyrinth of arpeggios, guitar melodies and varying synthesizers come and go until finally culminating in a powerful, psychedelic ending. A crescendo of sound mirrors the crescendo of tension, with the band offering little resolve and instead leaving the listener with a taste of the experience.
